Does PerfectVector upload my SVG?
No. Supported SVGs are checked, previewed, adjusted, and downloaded in your browser. Reusable mat, unit, guide, margin, and measurement-display preferences may stay in local storage on this device, but your SVG content, filename, paths, previews, settings, and generated file are not sent to PerfectVector.
Does a Fits result guarantee that my machine can cut the design?
No. Fits compares the complete prepared SVG footprint with the usable area left after your user-defined margin. Cutting machines and materials can require different clearances, loading directions, and software settings, so confirm those requirements before cutting.
What happens when the SVG has no physical width and height?
The safe preview remains available, but the mat result and download wait for one confirmed dimension. Enter a width or height and the tool derives the other dimension from the accepted viewBox ratio.
How is an SVG size in pixels converted to inches?
SVG and CSS use 96 pixels per inch for physical-unit conversion. For example, a declared width of 960 px is treated as 10 in. The result panel shows both the source declaration and the resolved physical size.
Are the corner guides Print Then Cut registration marks?
No. They are generic vector corner guides only. They are not calibrated marks for Cricut Print Then Cut, Silhouette registration, or any specific machine workflow.
Can I download a design that does not fit the selected mat?
Yes. The warning is informational so you can intentionally move the file to a larger mat, tile it elsewhere, or adjust it in your design software. The tool never silently auto-fits or changes your chosen scale.
What is included in the prepared SVG download?
The download contains the accepted canonical artwork at your chosen scale and rotation plus any optional weeding box or generic corner guides. The green mat and grid are preview-only and are never exported.
Which SVG files work here?
The tool accepts finished vector shapes with solid colors. It stops if the file relies on live text, visible strokes, images, gradients, effects, linked content, or CSS because those features could change the measured size.
