APNG extends PNG with multiple frames while retaining full-color pixels and alpha transparency. It is useful for lossless web animation, but its frames are still raster images and cannot be edited as vector shapes.
PerfectVector recognizes the animation from the file structure even when the filename simply ends in `.png`. It validates and composites the frames locally.
