Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PerfectVector (the "Service"), operated by Rastrix Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of the Republic of Korea ("Rastrix", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, each of which is incorporated by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

The Service is available only to individuals who are at least 18 years old. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that (a) you are 18 or older, (b) you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract, and (c) your use of the Service does not violate any law applicable to you.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at contact@perfectvector.com and we will delete the account.

2. The Service

PerfectVector is an AI-powered tool that converts raster images (PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP) into scalable vector graphics (SVG). The core vectorization workflow is anonymous and free: anyone can upload an image, run it through the Service, and preview the result in the in-browser editor without signing in.

Downloading the resulting SVG to your device is gated. To download, you must sign in with Google and have an available quota slot under your current plan (see §4).

We may modify, add, or remove Service features at any time. Where a change materially reduces what paying users receive, §14 applies.

Early Access. The Service is currently in an early-access phase. Features, plan limits, pricing, retention windows, and other operational details are expected to evolve rapidly during this period, and we reserve broad discretion to make such changes, subject to the notice rules in §14.

3. Accounts

3.1 Sign-in

Accounts are created via Google Sign-In (OAuth). At this stage, Google is the only identity provider we support. One PerfectVector account corresponds to one Google account (identified by Google's stable sub identifier). A user with multiple Google accounts may create multiple PerfectVector accounts, subject to §8.3 on multi-account quota abuse.

3.2 Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. On deletion:

  • All active sessions are signed out and all refresh tokens are revoked.
  • Your email, Google identifier, and any identifiable upload and download metadata are irreversibly anonymized. Historical records may remain in an anonymized form for audit, abuse-response, and aggregate-analytics purposes.
  • Deleted accounts cannot be self-serve restored. To recover, contact contact@perfectvector.com; we may create a new account for you, but no prior data will be restored.
  • Re-signup cooldown. You cannot sign up again with the same Google account for 7 days after deletion. Once the cooldown elapses, a new sign-in creates a new account with no connection to the deleted one.

3.3 Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion for violations of these Terms — in particular for fraud, scripted or automated use, chargebacks, or any of the prohibited activities in §8.

4. Plans and Downloads

4.1 Download Claims

A "Download Claim" is the authorization, recorded once per unique (account, image) pair, that you wish to keep a vectorized SVG. A Download Claim is not the same as your browser saving a file to disk. Claiming the same image twice — seconds apart or months apart — does not consume any additional quota.

The window rolls from the time of each Claim, so a slot frees up 20 hours after it was first claimed. Re-downloading an image you previously claimed is always free and does not count toward your quota.

We may change prices, plan limits, or launch new tiers; material changes affecting your existing plan follow §14.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

5.1 Payment provider

Paid plans are processed by Lemon Squeezy as the Merchant of Record. By purchasing a subscription you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms presented at checkout. Prices are in U.S. Dollars; applicable taxes and VAT are handled by Lemon Squeezy.

5.2 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until cancelled.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain paid access until then. You may reactivate before the period ends without interruption.

5.4 Failed payments

If a scheduled charge fails, your subscription enters a 7-day grace period during which you retain paid access while payment retries occur. If payment is not recovered within 7 days, your account automatically reverts to the Free plan. Updating your payment method during the grace period restores paid access immediately.

5.5 Plan changes

  • Upgrade (Free → Light) is effective immediately on confirmation.
  • Downgrade (Light → Free) takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Prior-period Claims remain counted under the rolling 20-hour window.

6. Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive communications from us related to the Service, including:

(a) Transactional messages — receipts, security alerts, account changes, refund confirmations.

(b) Service-essential notices — material changes to these Terms or our Privacy Policy, planned downtime, security incidents, payment failures.

(c) Periodic product communications — new features, tips, promotions, and other updates about the Service.

You may opt out of category (c) at any time by toggling "Marketing emails" off in your account settings, or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We will honor opt-outs within 24 hours; the maximum delay is 10 business days as required by applicable law.

Categories (a) and (b) cannot be opted out of while you maintain an account, because they are essential to the Service.

7. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In short: a refund is available within 14 days of a charge if you have made no Download Claims under that paid period. After 14 days, or after any Download Claim under the paid period, fees are non-refundable.

8. Acceptable Use

8.1 Your content

You retain all rights to the images you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process, store, and deliver your content as strictly necessary to provide the Service. We claim no ownership of your inputs or of the SVG outputs you generate.

You confirm that you have the rights to vectorize each image you upload. You are solely responsible for copyright, trademark, publicity, and related rights in your inputs.

8.2 Prohibited content

You agree not to upload, process, or request outputs relating to:

  • Sexually explicit material involving minors. Zero tolerance — we are required by law to report such material to the relevant authorities and will terminate the account immediately.
  • Material intended to facilitate violence, fraud, or doxxing against identifiable individuals.
  • Content that infringes intellectual property rights you do not hold or have permission to use.
  • Content containing viruses, malware, or other malicious code.
  • Content that violates any applicable law or regulation.

We do not actively moderate uploads for aesthetics or for legal-but-controversial content. That is between you and the law applicable to you.

8.3 Prohibited activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, data, or other users' accounts.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service, its servers, or its network.
  • Use automated means (scripts, bots, headless browsers) to access, scrape, or exercise the Service beyond what §9 permits.
  • Create multiple accounts or use multiple identities to evade rate limits, quotas, bans, or other restrictions. We reserve the right to treat linked accounts as duplicates and to suspend them.
  • Circumvent any technical limitation, rate limit, or gate in the Service.
  • Use the Service to harass, harm, or violate the rights of others.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide automated or derivative access to the Service to third parties without our prior written consent.

9. Automated Access and Scraping

The Service, including all pages, APIs, data, images, metadata, and other assets, is a protected computer system. You agree not to access it by automated means except as explicitly permitted:

  • You must comply with the Service's robots.txt and any content signals we present.
  • Where automated access is permitted, it is limited to HTML, CSS, and user-visible image files displayed to end-users.
  • Accessing, copying, or harvesting underlying JavaScript, JSON, API endpoints, or data fetched dynamically by scripts is prohibited.
  • Assets fetched only by JavaScript may not be scraped or copied.
  • Automated collection that degrades Service performance, consumes disproportionate resources, or imposes undue cost is prohibited.

Unauthorized access — including automated harvesting, scraping of non-public interfaces, or circumvention of rate limits — may violate applicable law, including the Republic of Korea Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the U.S. Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030), and equivalents in other jurisdictions.

10. No AI/ML Training

You may use SVG outputs for any lawful commercial or personal purpose, subject to the rights you hold in the original image. You may not:

  • Use any input image, SVG output, preview, thumbnail, metadata, or other data or results from the Service for AI or machine-learning purposes — including training, fine-tuning, evaluation, benchmarking, red-teaming, or dataset construction — without our prior written consent.
  • Share, sublicense, or provide any of the above to third parties for AI or machine-learning purposes.
  • Use outputs or results from the Service to develop, improve, or validate any system that competes with or replicates the Service (including image-vectorization or similar automated image-processing systems).
  • Script the Service to mass-produce outputs for the purpose of building a derivative dataset.

These restrictions are cumulative with §9 and apply to commercial, academic, and institutional use alike. They do not restrict your ordinary use of individual SVG outputs in your own designs, products, or client work.

11. Intellectual Property

Our rights. The Service itself — including its software, design, user interfaces, and original content — is owned by Rastrix Inc. and protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Your license. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or business purposes.

Outputs. We claim no ownership of the SVG outputs you generate. Your rights in an input image extend through to the SVG output derived from it. You remain solely responsible for your use of those outputs, subject to §8 and §10.

12. Uploads and Data Retention

What we do with your image. We process your upload on our servers to produce the SVG, deliver the SVG back to you, and remove it from your account once vectorization completes.

Operational retention. We may retain uploaded images and generated SVGs for a limited period after processing solely for: (a) debugging failed or low-quality jobs, and (b) responding to abuse or takedown requests. Retained data is stored in access-controlled storage and accessible only to authorized personnel. We do not use your uploads or outputs for machine-learning training, nor do we share them with third parties for such purposes.

13. Service Availability

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not commit to a formal uptime SLA at current pricing. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, third-party outages (including those of our AI algorithm providers or payment processor), or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We do not guarantee that vectorization results will be of any particular quality, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Operational restrictions. We may temporarily impose rate limits, disable specific features, or restrict access in response to suspected abuse, security incidents, or operational issues, without prior notice. We will restore normal access as soon as reasonably practicable.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time.

Material changes affecting paid plans — including price increases, quota reductions for paid plans, or any change that materially reduces what paid users receive during their current billing period — will be announced at least 30 days in advance via email to your account address and/or an in-app banner, and will take effect at the start of your next billing period.

Free plan changes. The Free plan — including its quota, feature set, and availability — may change with reasonable notice, which may consist of an in-app notification, a banner on our landing page, or an email. Because the Free plan is offered without charge, Free-plan changes are not subject to the 30-day paid-plan notice above.

Non-material changes (clarifications, new features, new plans, typographical corrections, expansions of what's allowed) take effect on publication, and we will refresh the "Last Updated" date accordingly.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE SECURE, RELIABLE, OR AVAILABLE AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RASTRIX INC.'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

17. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Rastrix Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, or damage (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) content you upload; (d) outputs you generate, download, or distribute; or (e) your violation of any third-party right or applicable law.

18. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute relating to the Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

20. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Seoul, Republic of Korea. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of, and venue in, those courts.

Waiver of jury trial. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any right to a trial by jury.

Waiver of class action. You and Rastrix Inc. each agree that any dispute will be brought in an individual capacity only, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.

Time limitation. Any cause of action arising out of or related to the Service must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action arose; otherwise it is permanently barred.

21. Export and Sanctions Compliance

You represent that you are not located in, a citizen or resident of, or otherwise organized under the laws of any country or territory subject to comprehensive U.S., European Union, United Kingdom, Republic of Korea, or United Nations sanctions, and that you are not listed on any applicable government list of restricted or denied parties. You agree to comply with all applicable export-control and economic-sanctions laws.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

23. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rastrix Inc. regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
