Welcome to PerfectVector. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using PerfectVector ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

The Service is available only to individuals who are at least 18 years old. You represent and warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding contract and meet all eligibility requirements.

2. Description of Service

PerfectVector provides free, anonymous AI-powered image vectorization services that convert raster images (PNG, JPG) into scalable vector graphics (SVG). The Service includes:

  • Image upload and processing
  • AI-based vectorization algorithms
  • Result download and delivery
  • Related support services

Important: PerfectVector currently offers free vectorization services and does not require user accounts. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or require authentication in the future, at which point these Terms will be updated with applicable terms.

3. Automated Access and Data Use Restrictions

The Service, including all pages, data, images, metadata, and other assets, are protected computer systems. You agree not to access or use the Service by automated means except as explicitly permitted by PerfectVector.

  • You must comply with robots.txt and any content signals presented by the Service
  • Where automated access is permitted by robots.txt, it is limited to HTML, CSS, and user-visible image files displayed to end-users
  • Accessing, copying, or harvesting underlying JavaScript, JSON, API endpoints, data fetched dynamically by scripts, or other non-public interfaces is prohibited
  • Assets that are only fetched by JavaScript may not be scraped or copied
  • Any access that violates these restrictions constitutes unauthorized access and may violate applicable law, including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030) and similar laws

Even for non-copyrighted content, automated collection or replication for any purpose (including automated processing, machine learning, or dataset compilation) is prohibited and constitutes unauthorized access under these Terms.

4. Prohibition on AI Training and Data Mining

Without PerfectVector's prior written consent, you may not use any content, data, assets, or results from the Service—including but not limited to uploaded images, vectorized images, previews, thumbnails, metadata, or derivative works—for AI or machine learning purposes.

This prohibition includes:

  • No training, fine-tuning, evaluation, benchmarking, or dataset construction for any AI or ML system
  • No sharing, sublicensing, or providing any such content or results to third parties for AI or ML purposes
  • No use of the Service's content or results to develop, improve, or validate systems that compete with or replicate the Service (including systems for image vectorization or similar automated image processing)
  • Commercial or institutional AI/ML use is prohibited absent express written consent from PerfectVector
  • Automated collection or access that degrades performance, consumes disproportionate resources, or imposes undue costs is prohibited

5. Service Usage Integrity

The Service must be used in good faith and consistent with PerfectVector's technical and operational limits.

  • Creating or using multiple sessions or techniques to evade usage limits, rate limits, or other restrictions is prohibited and constitutes unauthorized access
  • We may detect, limit, or block access engaged in circumvention or abuse
  • Automated systems accessing the Service without permission are prohibited

6. User Content and Uploads

6.1 Ownership

You retain all rights to the images you upload to our Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process, store, and deliver your content as necessary to provide the Service.

6.2 Data Retention

  • Uploaded images: Retained only during processing and deleted immediately after successful vectorization
  • Processing results (SVG files): Available for download for 1 hour after processing, then permanently deleted
  • Failed processing jobs: Deleted within 1 hour

6.3 Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload or process:

  • Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Illegal, harmful, or offensive material
  • Content containing viruses or malicious code
  • Personal information of others without consent
  • Content that violates any applicable laws or regulations

7. Service Usage

7.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Circumvent any technical limitations or rate limits
  • Use the Service to harm, harass, or violate the rights of others

7.2 Processing Limits

We may impose reasonable limits on the number, size, or frequency of files you can process to ensure fair usage and system stability. These limits may be adjusted at our discretion without notice.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by PerfectVector and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 Your Rights

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal or business purposes.

8.3 Processing Results

PerfectVector makes no claims to the vectorized results (SVG files) produced from your uploaded images. You assume all responsibility and liability for the download and subsequent use of these results. However, you may not use these results in violation of Section 4 (Prohibition on AI Training and Data Mining).

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed $100 USD
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or fitness for purpose of any processing results

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PerfectVector, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of third parties
  • Content you upload to the Service

11. Data Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding data collection and processing.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by:

  • Posting the new Terms on this page
  • Updating the "Last Updated" date

Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware and the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through:

  1. Good faith negotiation between the parties
  2. Binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of Delaware if negotiation fails
  3. Applicable courts in the State of Delaware as a last resort

You agree that any cause of action arising out of or related to the Service must commence within one (1) year after the cause of action arose; otherwise, such cause of action is permanently barred.

15. Export Compliance

The Service is subject to U.S. export control and economic sanctions laws. You agree to comply with all such laws and represent that you are not located in, or a resident of, any country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and PerfectVector regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
