HONEST COMPATIBILITY
Know what is safe before export.
The first version supports a small, testable SVG subset. If the artwork depends on a feature that cannot be preserved, processing stops instead of silently deleting it.

Does PerfectVector upload my SVG?
No. Supported SVGs are checked, previewed, separated, and downloaded in your browser. Static site assets still load normally, but your SVG content, filename, paths, colors, previews, and generated files are not sent to PerfectVector.
Why does every color file keep the full artboard?
Keeping the same viewBox and physical size preserves each color's position. The separated files share one alignment reference instead of collapsing to unrelated tight bounds.
Which SVGs does the first version support?
Version 1 accepts a deliberately narrow subset: UTF-8 SVGs up to 5 MiB with paths or basic shapes, supported affine transforms, known or confirmed size, and opaque solid fills. Unsupported visual behavior stops before any output is created.
What happens if my SVG has many colors?
Each exact shade remains separate. Results from 25 through 256 colors show a warning and reveal layer cards in batches. Files above 256 exact colors stop without silently simplifying the palette.
Will similar colors be merged automatically?
No. The separator groups exact colors only, so it never guesses that two shades should become one. Color simplification will remain a separate tool with its own preview and explicit Apply step.
Is the SVG download really free?
Yes. Separating and downloading supported SVG layers with this local utility requires no account or credits.
