REAL PERFECTVECTOR CONVERSIONS
The rabbit, scarf, riverbank, water, and paper boat use large separated regions. Faces, paws, folds, and contour joins remain substantial enough to judge directly instead of trusting a thumbnail.
The fox, duck, raincoat, umbrella, and puddle remain recognizable at useful sizes. Subtle tonal changes in the source create additional color regions and many more paths, so this case belongs in a review workflow rather than a simplicity promise.
These pairs show the exact source framing and path-based production SVGs. They do not promise recovered semantic layers, automatic character separation, print readiness, or the same structural complexity for every image. Source size, contours, shading, texture, compression, and intended use all matter. For display, we removed only the verified plain-background shape from each downloaded SVG; no artwork path was manually repaired.

Inspect and adjust the visible path-based art in a vector editor when the result fits the intended use.
Keep editorial text and production geometry editable in InDesign, Affinity Publisher, Canva, or the layout tool chosen for the book.
The printer's requested PDF or raster settings remain the final authority. Some downstream workflows flatten placed vector artwork, so preserve the SVG as an upstream master and check the final export separately.
Vectorization is most useful when the visible artwork is built from shapes that can survive reconstruction. The protected preview exists so you can make that decision before unlocking a file.
Large characters, separated color regions, simple backgrounds, and generous facial details are straightforward to compare.
Subtle tonal changes, tiny edge artifacts, and compressed gradients can create more paths or small fragments even when the render looks close.
If brush grain, translucent washes, or photographic tone carries the illustration, a sufficiently large raster master is usually the more faithful medium.
Converting an image does not grant copyright, trademark, commercial-use, or redistribution rights.
PerfectVector reconstructs visible pixels as paths. It cannot recover detail absent from a small source or recreate the illustrator's hidden process.
Start with the highest-resolution PNG, JPG, or WebP you are allowed to adapt. Flat colors, bold contours, generous features, and restrained texture are easier to inspect than a thumbnail or compressed screenshot.
Check faces, paws or hands, narrow gaps, color boundaries, and empty areas for unwanted fragments. Rich shading can create more paths even when the rendered illustration remains visually close.
Use the reviewed vector as artwork, then keep text, page numbers, trim, bleed, margins, and final PDF preparation in your layout application. Follow the current requirements of the printer or marketplace.
