A vector file cannot invent missing source detail.

At 448 × 448, the bus has far fewer source pixels describing each curve and small feature. The SVG is scalable, but it still reflects the limited geometry visible in that input. Use a larger original whenever one exists.

Choose by the source you have and the change you need. The protected preview is where you decide whether the reconstructed artwork is ready for your workflow.

Strong candidate

Bold line art and flat-color clipart

Large, clean shapes, continuous outlines, clear negative space, and distinct color regions usually provide the most inspectable starting point.

Review closely

Small, compressed, or highly detailed art

The SVG can scale, but it may preserve jagged edges, merged features, compression noise, or many small paths already visible in the source.

Keep raster

Photos, paintings, and textured imagery

Continuous-tone or richly textured images usually belong in a sufficiently large PNG, JPG, or WebP rather than an automatic path reconstruction.

Use artwork you may legally modify

Vectorization changes a file format. It does not grant copyright, trademark, commercial-use, or redistribution permission for clipart obtained elsewhere.

If you still have the original SVG, Illustrator, Inkscape, or other editable source, return to that file instead of tracing a flattened export.

Can I convert worksheet clipart from PNG to SVG?+
Yes, when the image contains suitable line art or flat-color illustration. PerfectVector reconstructs the visible artwork as SVG paths. Inspect outlines, faces, small details, fills, and negative space before using the result.
What kind of clipart usually vectorizes best?+
Large source images with bold continuous outlines, clear color regions, limited texture, and strong separation between the subject and background are the strongest candidates. Use the largest original file available rather than a thumbnail or screenshot.
Will a low-resolution clipart image become detailed after vectorization?+
No. SVG removes resolution limits from the reconstructed paths, but it cannot restore detail that is absent from the source pixels. A small or compressed source may produce paths that preserve its visible jagged edges and merged details.
Can PerfectVector convert colored educational clipart?+
Yes. Flat-color artwork with distinct, sufficiently large regions can be a strong fit. Inspect every color boundary and small decorative feature in the preview, especially when the source contains gradients, shadows, or compression noise.
