The globe, books, and pencil use bold outlines and large flat fills so the result can be checked region by region instead of judged only as a thumbnail.

At 448 × 448, the bus has far fewer source pixels describing each curve and small feature. The SVG is scalable, but it still reflects the limited geometry visible in that input. Use a larger original whenever one exists.

These representative examples demonstrate visible source/result comparison and path-based SVG output—not guaranteed cleanup, print readiness, edit time, or accuracy for every illustration. Results depend on source size, contrast, detail, compression, and the intended destination. For display, we removed only the full-canvas near-white background path from each downloaded SVG; the path counts shown describe these review copies.

A sufficiently large PNG remains valid for one fixed-size use. Choose SVG when the illustration needs to change size, color, editor, or destination—and proof every final output separately.
The illustration and the worksheet layout have different jobs. Giving each one the right format keeps later revisions practical.
Use the reviewed SVG for the visual element that needs to move between task cards, pages, slides, posters, or editor files.
Leave headings, instructions, labels, page numbers, and answer fields as editable text and layout objects in the tool where the lesson is authored.

Choose by the source you have and the change you need. The protected preview is where you decide whether the reconstructed artwork is ready for your workflow.
Large, clean shapes, continuous outlines, clear negative space, and distinct color regions usually provide the most inspectable starting point.
The SVG can scale, but it may preserve jagged edges, merged features, compression noise, or many small paths already visible in the source.
Continuous-tone or richly textured images usually belong in a sufficiently large PNG, JPG, or WebP rather than an automatic path reconstruction.
Vectorization changes a file format. It does not grant copyright, trademark, commercial-use, or redistribution permission for clipart obtained elsewhere.
If you still have the original SVG, Illustrator, Inkscape, or other editable source, return to that file instead of tracing a flattened export.
Prefer the original PNG, JPG, or WebP over a screenshot or thumbnail. Large, clean shapes and strong contrast give the vectorizer more visible information to reconstruct.
Check outlines, faces, small decorations, color regions, and negative space at the size you plan to use. A completed conversion still needs visual review.
