SEE THE DIFFERENCE

From fuzzy pixels to perfect vectors.

PerfectVector rebuilds your image as crisp, scalable vector art. Sharp at any size, anywhere.

AUTOMATIC RESULT OR MANUAL SETUP?

Choose what should happen before the trace.

Both products can turn an existing raster into vector geometry. PerfectVector gives you an automatic protected preview first. AutoTracer asks you to choose output and trace settings before starting the conversion.

Choose PerfectVector when

  • You want an automatic first result instead of selecting color and smoothing settings up front.
  • You want to inspect a protected vector preview before unlocking the finished SVG.
  • SVG is the handoff format for your editor, cutting app, print workflow, or site.
  • Your source is WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, HEIC/HEIF, or TIFF, beyond the formats shown by AutoTracer's current upload control.

Choose AutoTracer when

  • You need PDF, AI, EPS, DXF, SK, or FIG output rather than an SVG-centered handoff.
  • You want to set color reduction, smoothing, despeckle, or ignore-white behavior before tracing.
  • A free public workflow without registration or email is central to the job.
  • AutoTracer's published 30-minute input-and-output deletion statement fits your file-handling requirement.

Check before choosing either

  • Use the same source and define the required output format before comparing the workflows.
  • Inspect silhouettes, negative space, small details, transparency, and unintended color regions.
  • AutoTracer says automated tracing usually still needs post-processing; that statement is not proof that another tool needs less cleanup.
  • Open the chosen file in its real destination and confirm that the vector geometry remains useful there.
COMPARE THE DECISION POINT

Test one source from pixels to production.

  1. 1

    Define the required handoff

Start with the cleanest original raster. Decide which edges, gaps, colors, transparency, and small details must survive, and whether the destination needs SVG or another vector format.

  2. 2

    Inspect the PerfectVector preview

Upload the source and review the protected vector preview. Vectorizing and preview are free and unlimited, so this step does not spend a credit.

  3. 3

Compare AutoTracer when its controls matter

If you need a non-SVG output or want to choose color count, smoothing, despeckle, or ignore-white settings, run the same source through AutoTracer's current public workflow too.

  4. 4

Verify the chosen file in context

Spend one PerfectVector credit only when its preview fits the job. Open the chosen output in the actual editor, cutting app, print workflow, or site and inspect the geometry before production use.

WORKFLOW COMPARISON

A preview-first SVG flow or a configurable multi-format trace.

This table compares current documented workflows, inputs, controls, outputs, and access. It does not rank output quality or name a speed winner.

Public browser inputsPNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, HEIC/HEIF, and TIFF within the current source envelope. The current upload control lists JPG, JPEG, PNG, and PDF, up to 6 MB and 5000 by 5000 pixels.
Before the traceRun the focused automatic vectorizer, then use the protected vector preview as the decision point.Choose output format, color reduction, smoothing, despeckle, and optional ignore-white behavior before starting.
Output formatsThe current finished-result handoff centers on SVG for continued editing and production use.The current interface lists SVG, PDF, AI, DXF without splines, EPS, SK, and FIG.
Access and commitmentVectorize and inspect protected previews for free with no usage limit. The first finished-result unlock costs one credit.AutoTracer describes its public converter as free, with no registration or email required.
Best fitSVG is the intended handoff and you want to judge an automatic result before unlocking it.You need its additional output formats, want manual pre-trace controls, or prioritize its anonymous free workflow.

The better workflow depends on the source, required output, and work that follows the trace. Judge the same image in its real destination before choosing.

Sources and comparison limits

We reviewed AutoTracer's current public converter, about page, and privacy statement, together with PerfectVector's current product contracts and Rastrix's public team description.

We did not complete a retained paired-output benchmark. This page compares documented workflows, inputs, settings, outputs, access, and published file handling. It does not compare speed, fidelity, path or node counts, editability, cleanup time, or output quality.

PerfectVector is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by AutoTracer. AutoTracer is named only to help visitors compare the overlapping raster-to-vector workflows.

Before you pick a plan

You're in good company.

I'd tried everything and been let down every time — I'd given up, figuring today's tech just couldn't do this. And you actually built it. If this is real, it's genuinely incredible.

It converts at even better quality than I expected — it preserves the character of the original better than anything else I've tried.
imbee••••via Threads
PerfectVector is impressively fast, and the output quality is already very good. With a bit more refinement it could easily compete with the leading tools.

Way more detailed than I expected. Opening Illustrator to convert every single time was such a chore — bookmarked.

Tried it — it's accurate. Simple images actually expose detail differences more than complex ones do, and this nails them.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions before you convert?

Is PerfectVector a complete alternative to AutoTracer?+
No. The products overlap on raster-to-vector conversion, but AutoTracer currently offers several non-SVG outputs and manual trace controls that PerfectVector's focused preview-first workflow does not try to replace.
Is PerfectVector free to try as an AutoTracer alternative?+
Vectorizing and preview are always free and unlimited — you only spend a credit when you download a finished file.
When is AutoTracer the better choice?+
Choose AutoTracer when you need PDF, AI, EPS, DXF, SK, or FIG output; want color-reduction, smoothing, despeckle, or ignore-white controls before tracing; or prioritize its free workflow without registration or email.
Which image formats can I upload?+
PerfectVector's current public source envelope accepts PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, HEIC/HEIF, and TIFF. AutoTracer's current upload control lists JPG, JPEG, PNG, and PDF files up to 6 MB and 5000 by 5000 pixels.
Did PerfectVector prove that its output is better or faster than AutoTracer?+
No. We did not complete a retained, repeated same-input benchmark across both products. This page compares documented workflows and product boundaries, not speed or output quality.
What kinds of images does AutoTracer recommend?+
AutoTracer's about page highlights logos, page layouts, type, line art, and illustrations, and says automated tracing usually still needs post-processing. For either workflow, inspect the actual geometry rather than assuming every image should become vector.
What does AutoTracer say about uploaded files?+
Its published privacy page says input and output files are deleted after 30 minutes, access logs are kept for less than a week and usually no more than three days, and advertising may use cookies. That page says it was last modified on November 21, 2023, so check the current policy for a sensitive workflow.
Who develops PerfectVector's vectorization engine?+
PerfectVector is developed by Rastrix, a two-person team with PhD and master's training in deep learning and computer vision. The founders bring seven years of industry experience, have worked full time on the engine since November 2025, and develop the core vectorization algorithms and models in-house.
