PerfectVector writes the generated geometry as flat EPS paths. The export is deliberately simple, so its limits are clear before you send the file to another application or vendor.
Choose a supported image with visible edges, sufficient resolution, and as little compression noise as possible.

Select EPS and choose an opaque white or black background based on the artwork and the recipient's requirements.

EPS remains useful when a print vendor, sign shop, embroidery workflow, or older design application specifically requests it. The extension alone does not guarantee vector content: an EPS file can still contain an embedded raster image that becomes blurry when enlarged.
PerfectVector takes the vector route. It interprets the visible artwork as flat filled paths, gives you a watermarked preview for inspection and editing, and writes those paths into an EPS 3 file with RGB fills.
Logos, wordmarks, icons, badges, lettering, and flat illustrations are the strongest sources. Photographs, gradients, transparency, texture, and soft shadows cannot remain pixel-faithful when rebuilt as a limited set of filled shapes.
Choose EPS when the recipient explicitly needs it. Choose SVG when browser use, transparency, smaller modern files, or continued web-oriented editing matters more, and confirm any print-specific CMYK or spot-color requirements with the recipient before handoff.
A valid EPS can still carry pixels. PerfectVector creates filled paths; an EPS wrapper preserves the raster, while SVG keeps more modern web and transparency behavior.

Use EPS when the recipient asks for EPS and needs real paths. Use SVG when transparency or a modern web-oriented vector file is the better fit.
EPS workflows vary by design application, print provider, and production process. A quick inspection prevents an extension from being mistaken for a complete production specification.
