File count does not decide ZIP count. Final archive size does.

Name your ZIPs
One ZIP: etsy-ready.zip · Multiple: etsy-ready-1.zip, etsy-ready-2.zip, …
Files inside keep their original names and folders.
Every ZIP is reopened in this browser and its files are compared byte for byte. Nothing is uploaded.
Each ZIP is checked against Etsy's published 20 MB file limit. Read Etsy's current requirements.
Nine product files can still become one ZIP.
Etsy counts the files attached to a listing, not every buyer file inside a ZIP. PerfectVector uses the final archive size to decide whether your product stays together or needs numbered ZIPs.
Larger product?
The same workflow creates as many independent ZIPs as the files require.
Stop rebuilding ZIPs just to find one problem.
The useful part is not the ZIP button. It is finding the correct package boundaries and blockers before you hand the files to a buyer.
Know the expected output first
A folder's total size cannot tell you its final compressed ZIP count. PerfectVector calculates the expected result before you create the downloads.
Find the file that needs attention
If an item cannot be read, has an unsafe path, or remains too large after compression, the tool names it and keeps your selection available.
Download only after verification
Every generated ZIP is reopened locally. Its final size and extracted files are checked before a download is released.
From product folder to verified ZIPs.
Add the files for one digital product, review the expected ZIP output, and download locally verified archives within Etsy's 20 MB per-file limit.
Add one product's files
Choose loose files or one folder for a listing. The buyer filenames, folder paths, formats, and contents stay unchanged.
Review the expected output
Confirm the outer ZIP name and see whether the selection should become one ZIP or several numbered ZIPs.
Create verified ZIPs
PerfectVector builds ordinary independent archives, checks their exact final sizes and contents, then makes them available to download.
Your product stays your product.
Packaging should change the delivery container, not the files a customer receives. PerfectVector separates those two responsibilities clearly.
PerfectVector leaves unchanged
- Buyer filenames and folder paths
- Extracted file bytes and formats
- Image quality and document contents
PerfectVector checks
- Readable files and portable archive paths
- Expected ZIP count and Etsy listing fit
- Exact final ZIP sizes and extracted contents
No upload step is hiding in the middle.
Selection, compression, validation, and downloads stay inside the browser on this device.
Etsy currently allows up to five digital files per listing, with a maximum size of 20 MB each. Rules last checked August 26, 2026. PerfectVector is not affiliated with Etsy. Seller file rules · Buyer ZIP guidance
Before you trust the package.
The practical differences between source files, ZIP compression, Etsy upload slots, and verified downloads.
How many ZIPs will my product files create?
There is no fixed source-file ratio. If the final archive keeps the whole selection within 20 MB, you receive one ZIP—even when it contains nine or more buyer files. Larger selections become numbered independent ZIPs. The expected count appears before you create them.
Does ZIP compression change the files my buyers receive?
No. Compression changes how bytes are stored inside the archive, but PerfectVector reopens every ZIP and checks that the extracted file bytes match the original selection. It does not resize, optimize, convert, or rename the buyer files.
What happens if one file is still over 20 MB after compression?
The tool stops before releasing an invalid package and names the file that cannot fit. Remove it, prepare a smaller version with a separate tool, or use another seller-managed delivery method. PerfectVector does not silently reduce its quality.
Read Etsy's current file limitsWhat happens if the tool creates more than five ZIPs?
The valid ZIPs are still created, but the result warns that they cannot all be attached to one Etsy listing. Use multiple listings or another seller-managed delivery method rather than treating the extra ZIPs as additional slots in the same listing.
Read Etsy's current listing limitsAre my product files uploaded to PerfectVector?
No. File inspection, compression, packaging, and verification happen in this browser. PerfectVector serves the application code, but it does not receive your filenames, folder paths, product contents, or generated archives.
Will Etsy and every buyer device accept the result?
PerfectVector verifies the technical checks it reports, but it cannot guarantee Etsy's final listing decision or compatibility with every buyer's software. Each output is an ordinary ZIP, and buyers need to extract it before using the files inside.
