# PerfectVector API Terms

The supplemental terms for using the PerfectVector API.

> **Coming soon:** The Developer API opens soon. You can read the docs now; API keys arrive when it opens.

> **Effective document: Version 1.0**
>
> Effective date: 2026-10-30.

## 1. How these terms apply

These API Terms supplement and incorporate the PerfectVector [Terms of Service](/terms) (the
"Terms"). Rastrix Inc. operates both. Together with the Terms, our [Privacy Policy](/privacy), the
[API Privacy Notice](/docs/api/privacy) and our [Refund Policy](/refunds), they govern your use of
the PerfectVector API (the "API"). If these API Terms conflict with the Terms or the Refund Policy,
these API Terms control for the API. Nothing in these API Terms limits rights you have under the
law that cannot be waived, including the rights described in §6 of the Refund Policy.

**An official integration.** The API is an official PerfectVector integration. You may use it from
your own software, scripts, servers and automation tools, including for automated and bulk use, as
these API Terms allow. That use is permitted despite the limits on scripted, automated and API
access in §3.3, §8.3 and §9 of the Terms, and it is not an "AI or machine-learning purpose" under
§10 of the Terms.

**What stays prohibited.** These API Terms do not permit scraping, scripting or automating the
PerfectVector website or its non-public interfaces, using automation to get around rate limits,
quotas, pauses or other restrictions, or using the Service to build AI or machine-learning datasets
or competing systems. Those bans in §8.3, §9 and §10 of the Terms still apply.

## 2. Accepting these terms

You accept these API Terms when you create your first API key or buy API credits for the first
time, whichever comes first. Any signed-in PerfectVector account can do so. If we publish a new
version, you accept it the next time you create a key or buy credits. If you use the API for a
company or other organization, you confirm that you may accept these API Terms for it.

## 3. API keys

You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret and for all use of them, including use by
anyone who gets a key from you or your systems. If a key leaks, revoke it at once; use made with a
key before you revoke it is your responsibility. How keys work is described in our API
documentation.

## 4. API credits

- **A separate balance.** The API uses API credits. They are separate from the standard credits
used on the website and in the MCP connector, and the two do not convert into each other. Website
  plans include no API credits.
- **Charged per successful request.** A live request uses API credits when its conversion
succeeds, at the credit cost in effect when you make the request. A request that succeeds is
charged even if your software stopped waiting for it.
- **What is free.** Failed or timed-out conversions, rejected requests, rate-limited requests,
status checks, account checks, downloading a result again while it is available, deleting a
request, repeats of a request with the same idempotency key within 24 hours, and all test-key
  calls use no credits.
- **No overdraft.** If your available API credits cannot pay for a request, we reject it before
  any work starts.
- **Price changes.** We may change pack prices and the credit cost of requests. A change applies
from when we post it on our website or in our API documentation. The advance-notice rules in
§4.2 and §14 of the Terms do not apply to the API. Credits you have already bought are not
refunded because of a price change.
- **Expiry.** API credits you buy expire 12 months after the purchase. Credits we grant you expire
on the date we tell you, at most 12 months after the grant. Expired credits are not refunded.
- **Buying.** You buy API credit packs on our website. Our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, sells
them as the Merchant of Record (§5.1 of the Terms). Each pack is a one-time purchase, with no
  subscription and no automatic top-up.

## 5. Limits and fair use

We apply rate limits, a limit on conversions in progress, and file limits. The current values are
in our API documentation, and we may change them. Higher limits are available on request. Do not
try to get around the limits, for example by spreading traffic across accounts. Paid bulk
processing through the API is allowed. §10 of the Terms (no AI or machine-learning datasets) still
applies, as §1 adjusts it.

## 6. Refunds

Within 14 days of a purchase, you may withdraw from it as §7 describes: you pay for the credits you
used, and the rest is refunded. Otherwise, API credit purchases are final, except where the law
requires otherwise. If a purchase is refunded, fully or partly, or a chargeback succeeds, we remove
all unspent API credits that purchase added.

§7 of the Terms of Service and §1 to §3 of the Refund Policy do not apply to API credits. §4 to §6 of the
Refund Policy (questions about a charge, our payment provider's discretion, and statutory consumer
rights) still apply.

## 7. Right of withdrawal

This section applies to every purchase of API credits, wherever you live and whether you buy as a
consumer or for a business.

- **14 days.** You may withdraw from a purchase of API credits within 14 days of the purchase,
  without giving a reason.
- **Supply starts at once, at your request.** We add the credits to your account as soon as your
payment is confirmed. Before payment, our checkout asks you to tick a box that is never ticked in
advance. It reads: "Add my credits now. I can get a refund for unused credits within 14 days. Once
they're all used, the purchase is final." The box
shows this text in English on every page of our website, including pages in other languages. You
cannot buy without ticking it. We record when you ticked it, which wording you saw and in which
language, and your receipt confirms what you agreed to.
- **What you pay if you withdraw.** You pay for the credits of that purchase that you used before
you told us that you withdraw, in proportion to the price you paid for the purchase. The rest of
  the price is refunded.
- **When the right ends.** Your right to withdraw from a purchase ends once all of its credits are
  used.
- **How to withdraw.** Within the 14 days, send a clear statement that you withdraw, with your order
number, to contact@perfectvector.com. You may use the form in the appendix; any clear statement
  works.
- **Refund.** Lemon Squeezy, the seller of record, refunds the amount due to the payment method you
used, without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of receiving your statement. When it
does, we remove the unspent credits of that purchase, as §6 says.

## 8. Your files and results

Results are available for 24 hours after the request completes. Keep your own copies. §6 of the API
Privacy Notice says how long we keep your files and when we delete them.

How we use and look at your images and results is described in §3 of the
[API Privacy Notice](/docs/api/privacy).
To keep PerfectVector safe, a small number of authorized staff review recent conversions in our internal, read-only dashboard to spot misuse, like illegal or abusive content. Your images are never used to train AI models and never sold.
Any review happens only while the files are still stored.

## 9. Your application and your users

You are responsible for the images you send, for having the rights to convert them, and for how
your application and its users use the results. §8 (Acceptable Use) of the Terms applies to
everything sent with your keys.

You may offer features built on the API to your own users; this is our consent under §8.3 of the
Terms. If you do, you must bind them to your own terms and acceptable-use rules, at least as
protective of PerfectVector and the Service as these API Terms and the Terms, and you are
responsible for their activity and for the content they send through your keys. Do not give your
API keys to your users.

## 10. Suspension

We may suspend or limit your API access, or revoke keys, for abuse, security risks, breach of these
API Terms or the Terms, chargebacks or other payment problems, or to protect the Service.

## 11. As is, with no service level; beta

The API is new and in beta. It is provided "as is" and "as available". There is no uptime
commitment or service-level agreement. Features, limits and the API itself may change as we learn.
We may change, limit, suspend or discontinue the API, in whole or in part, at any time, and we may
limit who can use it. Our only promise about charging is the one in §4: we charge only for
successful conversions. §13 (Service Availability) and §15–§16 (warranty disclaimer and limitation
of liability) of the Terms apply.

## 12. Changes and ending use

We may update these API Terms, including prices, limits and the credit cost of requests. Changes
apply from when we post them. You can stop using the API at any time by revoking your keys. If you
delete your account, any unspent API credits are lost; we warn you before you delete it. Lost
credits are not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise.
